The Northern Moose

Hi! I’m Meg the creator behind the Northern Moose. I taught my self how to knit and crochet in 2015 when I was pregnant with my son, Hudson. I saw so many cute knitted items on Pinterest for babies and I just needed to have them all. That’s when I decided maybe I should just teach myself how to make this stuff and then I really can have it all. So knitting and crocheting became a hobby of mine to help pass the time throughout my pregnancy. I started selling on Etsy in 2016 from there I started doing local craft shows. And I eventually became the Northern Moose. Because, well, I live in Canada.. so you know Northern… and I like Moose.. So The Northern Moose. Perfect right?! Anyways.. fast forward to 2018. The Northern Moose blog was created. I wanted to create a space where I could share my patterns and tutorials for other knitters and beginner knitters around the world. Then along came 2019, I decided to open my own online store outside of Etsy! And here we are whether you are a creator or a shopper there is a place for you on this website!
